Hey Tony,

I recently got my account terminated for the second time, with whole “Your current Associates account is closed because an account belonging to you (or a person or entity connected or affiliated with you) has previously been closed for violations of the Operating Agreement or one of the other Amazon marketing programs” talk.

Seeing your comment replying to someone about “Change the primary website for registration ( if you have multiple sites). Change the account name (if you happen to have multiple names) etc” gave me an idea. I have another website, so do you think if I use it as my primary website and change my name, then once I get accepted, just place the links on the site I intended to monetizing in the first place will work without amazon terminating my account again?

For real they are just too big to care someone needs to break them for a little humbling experience.

Literally a 3 lines email telling me nothing other that they would have ignored all my next emails, and that the ban was permanent… now it’s been a year or more, how would you fix this?

I literally didn’t do anything against their terms; i tried getting in touch with them, both in the contact form and Jeff’s mail, but i literally got ignored (i also tried with other emails addresses so they could not track me). Do you have any suggestions to get some answers from them ? Ikr, the best would be just not working with them at all, but it is such a waste honestly…

I think the problem is that your site doesn’t have any unique content. Most of the content are specifications or description of the products.
You might want to check some successful Amazon affiliate sites and see how they are built first by doing a quick Google search.

My amazon affiliate account was closed by amazon mentioning insufficient content on my site. I modified my website
again and emailed them again. They replied “When reviewing a website we look for a beneficial reason as to why a customer would seek out your site. We want an associate site to be one that adds value to the customer by giving them insight on a subject or product they might not get easily. A website needs to show content that exemplifies these components when we evaluate your application. Successful sites will give the customer a unique experience or insight that is not available anywhere else. Well written information on a certain subject will help build you an audience which will also give the customer a reason to visit your site, not only once, but in the future. If your website has been further developed and now contains appropriate and original content, you’re welcome to submit another application by using the URL”.

My doubts:
1. Should i apply again with same address, bank details, mobile and other credentials? (I hv created a new email for applying again). Should i use the same website as i am using now(off course with modifications as per their policy)
2. My website is built on wordpress and i use wordpress automatic plugin which fetches the content and images from amazon and put on my site. I dont know much about wordpress. Should i get my website modified by a professional(most professionals say they will use coding like html or php or laravel and also use plugins to customise my site) or should i do or get it done in wordpress only without coding.
3. My affiliate site is ecommerce site having categories like grocery, appliances, gadgets, beauty, health etc. Is this
ok or should i focus only on 1 niche?
4. Is it ok to use wp automatic plugin to fetch content and images, as per amazon policy? I read somewhere its ok.
5. i will appreciate if u look my site https://www.myonlineshopdeal.com and guide what improvements can be made accordingly.

Thanks again

That’s a tough one….. Did you see an increase in affiliate link clicks?
Once they determine your site is not in line with what they want, they would likely find reasons to shut it down anyways.
I recall seeing some blogs talk about generally what kind of sites Amazon would disapprove so I would suggest doing some research on that first to see if your site is one of those kinds of sites before deciding what to do next.

I am no longer following Amazon associate’s policy closely because I have moved on from focusing on building Amazon affiliate sites.
It is possible the kind of site you were creating did not match what Amazon wants.
