Google&#8217;s Keyword Planner tool no longer gives search volume for free and Majestic&#8217;s keyword tool is also no longer free.<\/p>\n<p>However, this still is a tool I rely on when a need to bulk checks many keywords arise. There simply isn&#8217;t a tool out there that is as cost-effective even if I need to pay for a tool to get a search volume of the keywords I want to check (with a tool such as <a href=\"https:\/\/keywordseverywhere.com\/\">Keywords Everywhere<\/a>) and pay Majestic.com to access its keyword tool.<\/p>\n<p>We offer this tool to our <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalreadymarketing.com\/pricing\/\">membership<\/a> subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe title=\"How to Use the KDC\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/388716127?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>When it comes to make money online, especially with small websites that target small niche products, targeting the right keywords with low competition is very important.<\/p>\n<p>There are already some solutions out there that solve this particular problem so you might wonder why we created yet another method\/tool to check low competition keywords.<\/p>\n<p>The straight answer to that is currently there is no affordable and scalable solution to what my team and I wanted to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>Our primary goal with this tool is to predict keyword difficulty relatively quickly and accurately. We have a portfolio of sites in different niches and since we constantly need to check a large amount of keywords and select only the ones that are worth targeting in a relatively short time.<\/p>\n<p>The tool\u00a0we developed is pretty accurate in terms of predicting keyword difficulty as we have done some experiments on the tool and saw substantial results.<\/p>\n<p>Before we get into the details of the keyword difficulty checker, let&#8217;s discuss some of the alternative options out there and why they didn&#8217;t meet our needs.<\/p>\n<h2>Issue 1) Manual keyword difficulty checking is difficult to scale<\/h2>\n<p>Over the years, I have studied various methods to find keywords that are easy to rank for and learned from some of the most successful online marketers (such as <a href=\"http:\/\/backlinko.com\/about-backlinko\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brian Dean<\/a> from Backlinkco and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nichepursuits.com\/about-me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Spencer Haws<\/a> from Nichepursuits) who have figured out certain methods to find easy to rank keywords.<\/p>\n<p>For example, <a href=\"http:\/\/backlinko.com\/keyword-competition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in this post<\/a>, Brian provides a detail explanation of how to check competition for keywords. Perrin (Spencer&#8217;s right hand guy) &amp; Spencer has also given a pretty good insights to how he choose certain keywords <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nichepursuits.com\/good-and-bad-examples-of-low-competition-keywords-niche-site-project-2-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in this post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The problem with these methods involve a lot of manual steps and rely on arbitrary decisions with limitation to scale.<\/p>\n<h2>Issue 2) Automated keyword difficulty checker is expensive and not so scalable<\/h2>\n<p>Using tools such as Moz\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/moz.com\/tools\/keyword-difficulty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Keyword Difficulty Tool <\/a>could be an alternative solution to manual methods but these methods could be expensive and not so scalable either.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Moz&#8217;s keyword difficulty tool only allows 400 keywords\/day for the lowest membership level.
